Everybody knows that Sundays are the best for some family fun time! We @ TBA Makerspace spiced up Sunday Family Time with a lot of fun, learning and making!
An ‘Exploring Robotics’ Workshop was conducted on 7th March 2021 from 2 pm to 5:30 pm at TBA Makerspace.
Kids of Grades 3 to 7 came with their siblings and families to explore circuitry and coding, build cool robots, get goodies, and much more for just ₹400.
Abacus & Brain GYM
Mathematics is one of the most important and interesting subjects. It’s all about curiosity and logical applications.
One of the methods to work on calculations is Abacus which works by moving beads on a counting frame. It is a calculating tool that has been in use since ancient times and is still a popular method today. By learning how to calculate with the abacus, one’s mental calculation becomes faster and more accurate for large-number calculations.
We are glad to introduce these classes at TBA to improve our students’ mathematical skills and encourage them
STREAM – Programme
Children have a high potential to learn and pick up various skills taught to them. TBA believes in giving holistic education blended with lifelong learning.
We are pleased to inform you that TBA is launching STREAM – a programme filled with extra-curricular activities based on Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, Music (and Dance, Drawing, Craft). Along with Math and Sports Camp (Skating, Football, Badminton and Athletics). The venue is The Bharath Academy campus and timings are from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, from Monday to Saturday. The camp began on 1st February 2021.
Sankranthi is a cultural festival of India celebrated during the harvest season. It is celebrated in different states every year on the 14th of January and known by different names like Pongal, Bisu, Baisaaki, Sankramana, etc. At TBA, we celebrated it with a cultural fest that children visited with their parents and participated in. There was aeromodelling, kite-making, laddoo-making, collage-making, one-minute games, and a talent show. Many children were appreciated and even won prizes.
Science Buddy was an exciting event at TBA, as part of the Tech+ extended learning programme. Students of Grade 3, 4 and 5 brought along their buddies — kith and kin of or around their age — and actively participated in the 3 days’ event at school. The DT Labz mentors and TBA kids together made wooden tables right from scratch, learnt the concept of coding, built aero models, robots, learnt about 3D printing made out of plastic waste, and a lot more. The event was a curtain-raiser for the new year 2021. Here are some glimpses of the activities held on the occasion.
The Bharat Academy takes Children’s Day to a whole new level with a week-long STEAM Camp! From the 16th to the 28th of November, we will be celebrating the spirit of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics with our specially designed TBA Tech+ kit.
With these kits in hand, the young minds of TBA will explore robotics, DIY science projects, design thinking, circuits, Mech-o-Tech, kitchen chemistry, jewellery making, origami, gardening, virtual tours, Zumba mania, Fun-Do-Colours, storytime, and much more!
Our team will deliver the kits at your doorstep or to your apartment security on the 14th of November. If you are not available at home during the visit, please call the front desk number at the earliest to avoid any inconvenience.
On the occasion of Diwali, The Bharath Academy aimed to encourage our students to indulge themselves in various fun activities. These activities included making various Diwali items using recyclable materials and decorating them with items that are easily available at home. The activities on the list included:
- Diya Making and Decorating for Grade 1
- Diwali Wall Hanging for Grade 2
- Diwali Toran Making (Streamers) for Grade 3
- Goodu Deepa (Lantern Making) for Grade 4
- Light Up for Grade 5
Our students took part in these activities with great enthusiasm and clicked pictures that were posted on the Seesaw app. Along with this, TBA staff came up with an interesting activity called the Sweet and Snack, where they created an exciting cooking video which was also uploaded on Seesaw app for the TBA kids and family to enjoy.
